"It is in relation to others that we learn how to navigate the world—this is my belief upon which my approach to therapy is grounded. I deeply value the importance of exploring each individual’s unique world view as well. Our session will be spent on understanding your relationships with friends, family, co-workers. This also means that sessions will be focused on your relationship with yourself oftentimes. I will help you direct attention to your internal dialogues and stay observant of unhealthy self-criticism or harsh judgement. I would like to show you that the journey of therapy can be comfortable and emotionally safe."

"The feeling of being cared for is necessary for every human being. Ultimately, the power of counseling is experiencing unconditional care from a counselor, regardless of what the presenting concerns are.  Even though counselors may not be able to witness the growth and change in front of their eyes, counseling is planting the seeds of tomorrow. Even if the circumstances have not changed, counseling is helping clients change their perspective on the world and moving their life in a better direction."

"I believe it is important to develop emotional flexibility to become more fully engage in our lives. As a therapist, I utilize a collaborative approach to help the client explore their thought patterns and the relationship with their own feelings, deepen their self-understanding, and promote self-acceptance and greater emotional flexibility. I also enjoy helping clients to understand how psychological factors significantly influence their health, including physical illness and stress, and aid them in coping with the impact of medical issues in their daily lives. Gaining access to thought patterns and a broader range of feelings can be a difficult task, so I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment in which clients feel comfortable exploring their beliefs, behaviors, and feelings. Also, I value goals identified by the clients and collaboratively developing a treatment plan."

Your feelings are real and valid, AND I want to support your decision in seeking therapy. As a therapist, I look for ways to build relationships and connections based on empathy and care. I acknowledge and honor the different walks of life you will bring with you. I will meet you where you are at, find and build on your strengths, and create a compassionate and safe space where you can navigate through intimate and personal topics. "I believe that there is always something that you can do to serve yourself, despite your circumstances. I also believe that you can be satisfied with your non-ideal life. Of course, achieving your own happiness may not be easy or quick. In fact, learning that life will never go exactly as we wish might be disappointing. However, truly accepting this universal fact may be liberating, and may make the needed elements for your life so clearly visible. It may be scary to commit to this new journey, but I will be your constant factor in the midst of all the ups sand downs. I hope you can claim your ownership of your life through our time together."
